Terms of Service

Last updated: May 22, 2026

No refunds — all sales are final
All charges (account top-ups, per-design unlocks, auto-recharges) are non-refundable. Top-up balance does not expire and can be used at any time. By paying, you agree to this no-refund policy. If you believe a charge was made in error, email billing@pcbmaker.io within 7 days and we'll investigate.
AI output is unverified — review before manufacturing
Schematics, audits, BOMs, and firmware produced by this service are generated by AI and may contain errors. They are provided as-is, with no warranty. Before ordering PCBs from any fab or applying power to any board, review the design yourself or have it reviewed by a qualified engineer. You are responsible for the consequences of manufacturing or operating a design — including injury, property damage, regulatory violations, or financial loss.

Plain-English summary

You can use pcbmaker.io to generate, audit, and download PCB designs. You pay for what you use. The designs the AI produces are your responsibility to review before manufacturing. We don't guarantee uptime or that the AI will always be correct. No refunds. Don't abuse the service.

1. Eligibility & accounts

You must be 13 or older to use the service. You're responsible for activity under your account; keep your sign-in provider (Google or GitHub) secure. We can suspend accounts that abuse the service or violate these terms.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Generate designs for weapons systems, devices intended to harm people, or anything illegal in your jurisdiction.
  • Attempt to bypass billing, rate limits, the per-design unlock check, or any other access control.
  • Use the service to generate designs you intend to misrepresent as human-engineered work for safety- critical certification.
  • Scrape, mass-download, or otherwise extract our parts library or generated outputs in bulk for redistribution.
  • Use the service in a way that materially degrades it for other users (e.g. abusive request volume, deliberately costly prompts).

3. Billing

The service is pay-as-you-go. AI generation, audit, and simulation calls debit your account balance at our published markup over upstream API cost. Per-design unlocks ($20–$100 depending on audit quality) release the fab-pack files for a specific design.

Auto-recharge: if enabled, your saved card is charged off-session when your balance drops below your threshold. You can disable this anytime in the Billing modal.

No refunds: All payments are final. Unused balance remains on your account and never expires. If you delete your account, remaining balance is forfeited.

Disputes: contact us before filing a chargeback. Chargebacks initiated without contacting us may result in account suspension.

4. Your designs

You own the designs you generate. We claim no rights to your prompts, schematics, BOMs, or any output of the service. You grant us a limited license to store, process, display, and back up your designs solely to operate the service for you.

We do not use your designs to train AI models. Designs are sent to Anthropic (our AI provider) only to fulfill your requests; see our Privacy Policy.

5. AI output disclaimer

The AI may produce schematics with incorrect part values, missing pull-ups, wrong pinouts, unsafe power topology, or other defects. The audit feature catches many but not all issues. Always review the design before fabricating boards or powering hardware. The simulator results (Wokwi, SPICE) are approximations, not certifications.

We make no representation or warranty that designs produced by the service are fit for any particular purpose, safe to manufacture, or compliant with any standard, regulation, or specification (CE, FCC, UL, IEC, FAA, FDA, MIL-STD, etc.).

6. Availability

We aim for the service to be available, but we don't guarantee any uptime SLA. We may take the service down for maintenance, upgrades, or in response to abuse. AI providers occasionally rate-limit or have outages; those may pass through to you as temporary errors.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of the service is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, loss of data, damage to hardware, or cost of substitute services.

Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits; if so, they apply to the maximum extent permitted in your jurisdiction.

8. Termination

You can stop using the service anytime; email us to delete your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice. On termination, your designs and unused balance are forfeited unless you export them first.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in-app before they take effect. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
